Decisions and actions that we take at work can affect the environment just as much as those we make at home. Not only can a disregard of environmental best practice lead to company fines and penalties, it can also have serious consequences for both the environment and human health.

From polluted rivers and exposure of staff to dangerous chemicals – the effects can be dire. It is, therefore, essential that all employees have a thorough understanding of the issues and how they can act to minimize any detrimental effects.

The course looks in detail at the environmental issues that relate to the automotive industry, including the transport of dangerous goods, oil and hazardous substance storage, site drainage, waste management, spillage control, atmospheric emissions, heating installations and environmental complaints.

The training covers all the issues arising from environmental legislation including monitoring, audits, safety assessments, record keeping and emergency procedures.
